Production Company Improvements
The Production Company
Version 2
The Changes

The Background
One of the things that we didn't like as a group with the first version of the Production Company was the different colour backgrounds of the pieces. Therefore all the pieces were changed to have the same blue background to make it look more professional and also to make the trailer look more effective and smart. The New Shot

The Editing
Not much was done in respects to editing apart from deleting the old images and replacing them with the new ones. However, for this I had to make sure they still fitted to a small timescale and had to move the typography and the sound effect of the apple being eaten in the right places to make sure that the timing wasn't out sue to the production company ideally being between 4 and 6 seconds long. The last thing that was left to do was to upload the Production Company to YouTube on our channel which I did without any problems.
Evaluation
Overall with the new shot second to last, it makes the running of the shots look smoother and more professional.
Unfortunately, when I was putting the images together, two of them hadn't saved properly in picture form and had a pixelated black bit at the bottom. To counter this problem, I cropped all the images in Final Cut Pro so they all had this bit missing and positioned them all so they took up the whole screen so that there wasn't any black edges around the shots.

Production Company: Bitesize Productions

The Theme
The theme that I decided to follow when designing my Production Company was the food and eating disorder theme due to the large amount of different styles and ideas that could have been used.

The sound
The sound I took from a YouTube clip of someone eating an apple. Due to the sound being of good quality and fitting in well with the footage, I used YouTube Convertor to convert the sound to an MP£ format and I added it into the shots.
The making of the 'Bitesize Productions'
To start I downloaded all the photos into Final Cut Pro and put them into the order in which they should go into. I then checked the quality to make sure that it was not pixelated.

From there, I added the simple text over the shot of the last shot to get a rough idea and I chose a transaction which caused the text to fade onto the screen with a flash proceeding it. After showing this to the group they were generally pleased apart from the typography.

| Changing the font colour |
I then went on to change the colour of the font from black and white to a red and white in order to make it stand out from the background which is of a bright blue colour.

As this didn't massive change what we had already or change it in the way that we had anticipated. Therefore we changed the font to something different that added a touch of class and looked much more fitting.
The Production Company
Evaluation
Overall, the making of the production company was fairly easy however, putting the images together proved to be the difficult part as some of the images were of different colours and this didn't look very professional.
Also I need to add in an extra shot to make the apple being eaten look smoother than it is as there is a massive jump between the second and the third images.

Creating my Own Production Company
For our teaser trailer, we each agreed to create a production company that may be used alongside our professional production company.
For this, I decided to manipulate a video I had previously taken of fireworks.
I used iMovies on my Macbook, and transferred the trimmed clip into a 'movie'. I chose to not have a theme, as none of the options suited what I was ideally looking for.
Following this, I then placed a transition at the end of the clip, choosing a fade to black as this is conventionally used for production companies.
My next task was to find a sound effect that would work well with the scene. After listening to a variety, I finally chose Designer Synth.
After placing the fade out at the end, my production company was completed, and so I uploaded it to youtube.

Imovie is very similar to Final Cut Pro, and so was fairly easy to navigate. I selected the clip I had imported in and placed it on the timeline, which would then allow me to edit it.

I then selected the line at which the sound could be found, and dragged this down to 0%, as I did not wish to keep the sound from the original clip.

Following this, I then placed a transition at the end of the clip, choosing a fade to black as this is conventionally used for production companies.
After this, I added a title to the clip, naming it "Firecracker Productions" as this would relate well to the fireworks clip chosen. For the font I chose 80 and the font type 'Copperplate'.

Evaluation
After looking at all of our production companies, we have chosen to use the 'Bitesize' one, as this relates very well to the plot of our film, and so easily links in. In order to improve my own production company, I could have attempted to use garageband to create my own sound effect.
