Reshoot Evaluation - Eye Close Up (25.1.16)

The Eye Close Up Reshoot

After school I drove myself and Georgie to her house. We found an area in her house (living room) which had good lighting. We positioned ourselves about 5 metres from a large window and, given the sunny weather, this provided us with good lighting.

We set up the tripod at the level that was at eye line. We made sure that both my eyes were in shot as this was why we needed to reshoot. We also made sure they were both in focus.

However, once we had set this up the weather had become overcast, providing low lighting. This was unhelpful and made the shots too dark.

We tried to overcome this problem by stacking the sofa cushions and sitting a torch on top, providing lighting, however this led to a lot of shadowing to the opposite side of my face, appearing unnatural.

Luckily as we got the positioning of the camera sorted and had taken the first retake the weather changed again and provided the right natural lighting.

In total we took 5 different films of the eyes to show the rest of our group and to pick the best one from.
